Our board, has strong representation from the ranching community, possessing hundreds of years of collective rangeland management experience. Members are also in the fields of resource management, engineering, risk management, and finance, providing expertise to help us achieve our mission.

MISSION
By 2030, expand cattle grazing to 40 million acres in California.

What we do

The Foundation exists to preserve the proud heritage of California’s cattlemen and cattlewomen and ensure that future generations are prepared for the opportunities ahead.

Our work highlights the critical role ranching families play in rangeland management and environmental stewardship. In addition to working with ranchers, the Foundation partners with other experts and groups to further the mission of engaging in educational, charitable and research activities to promote and support sustainable ranching operations.

“Thanks to the work of so many, California beef producers have turned the corner in the battle to defend our way of life. We’ve established the Cattlemen’s Foundation to educate policy makers by bringing them together with leading academics and the ranching community. Together we’ve accomplished a tremendous amount but there is so much more to do. Please join us.”
