DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC POLICY

Jared Mandrell

Jared grew up in city of Morgan Hill and found his passion for the agriculture industry through his involvement in his local FFA Chapter. In June of 2023, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Communication from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with minors in Political Science and Law & Society. Throughout his time at Cal Poly, he worked as an ambassador for the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences as a resource for both current and prospective students while being involved with numerous clubs on campus.

Prior to working for the California Cattlemen’s Foundation, Jared interned for the USDA’s Farm Service Agency, Midpeninsula Open Space District, and West Coast Advisors. He is enthusiastic to apply his experience and grow his knowledge to better represent the cattle industry.

As CCF’s Director of Public Policy, he is responsible for monitoring the notices from various state regulatory boards, commissions, and agencies to stay abreast of regulatory and policy initiatives impacting California’s beef producers.
